Julia Monge has joined the New Mexico Technology Council as the organization’s new Membership Development Manager. She brings years of experience in tech nonprofit leadership to the Council. Previously, Monge worked as a Program Manager at DiverseIT where they focused on bridging the technology divide by making tech more accessible to the community.
Monge, who began her new position earlier this month will be responsible for retaining existing and creating new partnerships with members of the NMTC, while working closely with the Executive Director, Mia Petersen, to shape the future of the organization and impact economic development in New Mexico’s technology sector.
“I can speak for the NMTC staff and Board of Directors in saying that we are thrilled to have Julia join the team. Julia’s passion for community engagement and problem solving combined with her professional experience make her the perfect candidate for this role. We believe her addition to the team will increase NMTC’s success and provide value to our members.” Petersen said.
In addition to her experience in nonprofit leadership, Monge has completed two Cultivating Coders certifications and is currently pursuing degrees in International Studies and Computer Science from the University of New Mexico. Monge is passionate about community building, digital literacy, data privacy, and tech accessibility.
