March 2023 Jobs Report

National payrolls increased by 236,000 jobs in March, with 39,000 jobs in professional and technical services, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The unemployment rate decreased slightly to 3.5%, and unemployment for college graduates remained steady at 2.0%.

New Mexico unemployment is at 3.5% (as of March 2023)

with Albuquerque-3.6% / Santa Fe- 3.4% / Las Cruces-4.7% (as of February 2023)

4th Quarter 2022 IT Unemployment:

·  0.7%: Network architects

·  0.8%: Information security analysts

·  0.9%: Systems analysts

·  1.1%: Computer and information systems managers

·  1.4%: Computer programmers

·  1.7%: Web developers

·  2.1%: Network and systems administrators

·  2.2%: Software developers

·  3.1%: Computer hardware engineers

·  3.1%: Help desk and desktop support professionals
