It’s a busy week (as always?) in Santa Fe and northern New Mexico.

Bringing the various elements of tech business startups together is a key mission for the Tech Council and our partners in northern New Mexico and this week is a good example of all the talents and other assets we have available.

On Thursday, we have two overlapping events in the region. First, The Los Alamos Commerce & Development Corporation in collaboration with the Green Business Cluster of Northern New Mexico, the Hive, the Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce, and the the New Mexico chapter of the Energy, Technology & Environmental Business Association, present: Green Potentials for Northern NM 2012.

Talks include Dr. Richard Sayre on Algal Biofuels and representatives from the Energy, Technology & Environmental Business Association (ETEBA) who will “paint a picture” of business potentials in Northern New Mexico. Second, the Santa Fe Software Developers Group will meet up at Open Eye Scientific with a great crowd of developers and others in IT and other tech fields. Find out more about the event and Meetup Group at: http://www.meetup.com/nmtechscene/

On Friday, we have a special event kicking off our monthly Tech Friday luncheon series on startups and entrepreneurship at the Santa Fe Complex with special guest Roger O’Brien, talking about the skills, traits and capabilities necessary to be a successful entrepreneur. We’re working with partners at the Regional Development Corporation, Northern New Mexico Connect and Santa Fe Business Incubator on more events and activities throughout the year. We hope you’ll attend and get involved!
