Many of you have heard of the TED phenomenon and perhaps experienced TEDxABQ or a similar event — but if not, TED (short for Technology, Entertainment & Design) brings together world class speakers for a high profile conference event to share ideas and information ‘worth spreading’. “TEDx” refers to independently organized local events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At TEDx events, video from TED and live speakers are brought together to inspire and spark discussion. TEDxAcequiaMadre will take place at the Santa Fe University of Art and Design on May 26th, and the time to apply for a speaker slot is NOW. Sign up at http://tedxacequiamadre.com/speakers/
The spirit of TED is also statewide with the TEDxNM Meetup Group. Sign up there for information about events throughout the region — and you can even suggest your own.
