We’re glad to announce a new panel at this Thursday’s TechJunction event in Albuquerque: “Women who ‘Lean In’ – Success in I.T.” is scheduled for 1:20 PM.
The book, “Lean In – Women, Work, and the Will to Lead”, by Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, is an insightful look at women in the workplace, the cultural, institutional, and emotional challenges that hold women back and timely advice on overcoming those issues. Whether or not we as women agree with everything in this author’s avowed proud feminist approach to these issues, there are some very salient positive points she makes in terms of some of the behaviors that make us successful in the field of technology.
With all the “dire” statistics, we’ll discuss what is different about the women on this panel and the POSITIVE reasons they’ve stayed in the field and achieved success.
