TechFiesta ABQ is 10 days of presentations, panels, and gatherings from the brightest minds in tech in the Albuquerque area. Attended by those working and interested in the technology field join to get a big picture view of the future of our industry as well as gain valuable information about thriving in Albuquerque’s current tech culture.
Here are the events happening September 5-14 that are sponsored by the New Mexico Technology Council:
PNM Innovation Speakers Series – Economic Transformation through Synergy – Sept 8, 5:00pm at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Three panelists from Austin will discuss the efforts made over the years to reshape Austin, how each piece fits with the other in order to create a thriving economy that is more than the sum of its parts, and how Albuquerque can learn from the experience. Tickets may be purchased for $20 in advance and at the door.
NMTC Women in Tech Luncheon – Sep 11, 11:30am at the Albuquerque Convention Center – Ballroom A. The Tech Fiesta 2014 entrepreneurs’ panel includes a group six of seasoned and successful professionals that have been integral to launching one or more technology or consulting businesses. The forum includes individuals from Albuquerque businesses with information technology, scientific, legal, business, and consulting expertise and discussions will be focused on common issues women face as entrepreneurs. TechRev Conference Day – Sep 12, 8:00am to 4:00pm at the Albuquerque Convention Center. TechRev is a full day conference featuring tracks for technologists, entrepreneurs and the business community produced by the NM Technology Council. One highlight will be a special lunchtime panel, “Collective Impact for a Smarter City: Data Driven programs to transform Albuquerque” with remarks from Mayor Richard Berry, and featuring representatives from ABQ Heading Home, the Living Cities Initiative and Mission Graduate. This is an all-day event at the Albuquerque Convention Center and tickets may be purchased for conference only, lunch only, or a full-day pass to both.
