Startup Weekend Albuquerque is here, but the past several days seem to suggest that it’s Startup Weekend all the time, at least somewhere in New Mexico. 

Just this week, there was the Arrowhead Innovation Network reception in Las Cruces, a great meeting of tech and startup groups behind this September’s ABQ Tech Fiesta, and last night we saw great sessions from both OpenHack ABQ and Coronado Ventures Forum’s event on Impact Investing and Social Entrepreneurship. And that’s just scratching the surface.

Albuquerque and the state as a whole do face challenges, but for those that think there isn’t startup activity around, they should really open their eyes and participate.
