Westwind is a dedicated provider of cutting-edge technology solutions tailored for government and enterprise business markets. We have over 20 years of experience partnering with federal, state, and local agencies to meet their unique needs while ensuring a secure supply chain. We’re not your typical value-added reseller, we take a big-picture approach to provide the most appropriate IT and Emerging Technology solutions with exceptional client support.

What industry does your company represent? Westwind is a value-added reseller serving the New Mexico market offering general IT configurations, 3D print technology and specialized public safety solutions.

What makes your company unique? Our culture is defined by our big picture approach and out of the box thinking to solve problems and provide our customers with the best service we can.

Describe where you see technology in year 2030. Developments in the way we manufacture, AI, and the internet of “everything” continue to push the boundaries on what we consider “Traditional IT.” It’s a running joke in our office that even today we could look at selling home appliances because they connect to the internet and can upgrade themselves. We wouldn’t presume to place any bets on specifics, but we know that the way we do business today is changing fast. Our leadership team is constantly evaluating innovative technologies, alternative methods, and new ideas to keep ahead of the curve.

How is your company adapting to the Coronavirus crisis? We have thankfully maintained the shift in working conditions without much difficulty or service delivery interruptions. However, the distancing is significant for a team that strives to stay close knit.

It is important to make these transitions as stress-free as possible. Everyone was issued a laptop or other appropriate mobile device and access to a virtual private network. We also encouraged people to take their chairs, monitors, input devices, and other work staples to create a more comfortable work environment at home.

Less tangible but just as important, we saw how team members immediately began taking the initiative to work within their own spheres and reexamine supplier relationships to help inform how Westwind could be participate in battling the pandemic.

Where does your team stand: Red, Green or Christmas? Green wins the day at our office, but we have some very strong opinions on the matter.
