Is there more startup activity going on these days in NM?  (Or more energy around startups?)

It does feel that way – and in the next post I’ll say more about one of the bigger activities. In the meantime, there are a few things going on related to the AppSumo Lean Startup Challenge that we wanted to share.

1.  The Lean “Kill the Wantapreneur” Challenge is Underway!

AppSumo and others are sponsoring a ‘Lean Challenge‘ with thousands of $$, mentorship, promotion and lots of other benefits for the winning startup. To the best of our knowledge (please let us know if we’re wrong!) only one NM-based startup is in the running so we hope you’ll support them with your tweets & facebook posts (share #leanvote2012-19 wherever possible through April 15th). Read more about Michael Bernstein’s “Urbsly” – like Yelp for Plants – here: http://blog.urbsly.com/post/21011884622/what-is-urbsly

2.  Apps for Lean & Other Startups

We know that many new business ventures have to start lean, with the easiest, most efficient and lowest cost tools available. At our May Tech Thursday event on May 10th we’ll be sharing info on a handful of the best apps available. For more info and sign-up visit http://tt10may2012.eventbrite.com/

3.  Lean Startup Bundle Giveaway

In keeping with the theme, we’ll be giving away one of AppSumo’s ‘Lean SX Startup Bundles” to one of our Tech Thursday participants. Just share the event on Twitter and/or Facebook to be eligible (and let us know).
