Nearly 1,000 technology professionals gathered to celebrate all sectors of technology at experienceIT last month. The program of events highlighted the exciting activities across industry sectors in New Mexico, providing outstanding professional development and networking opportunities for participants. Forty industry experts lead compelling sessions on topics that included Robotic Process Innovation, CNM’s trailblazing blockchain program, social engineering & media, workforce development, shared services, New Mexico’s NASA connections, and more.

This thrilling week of tech events included a Women in Technology Wine Tasting, Comcast Pitch Fest, VIP Reception, Conference and Tech Tour (featuring ABBA Technologies, Adelante Development Center & Aquila). From networking, educational sessions, and a $10K award to a local tech startup, each event gave locals a deeper look into the future of New Mexico’s existing technology community.
Comcast Pitch Event
Kicking off the week of events, the NMTC partnered with Comcast and Comcast Business to launch the first Comcast Pitch Fest. The grand prize award of $10,000, was granted to Teeniors, a local startup that provides one-on-one technology coaching to senior citizens. Judges from the local business community evaluated the (50) applications to narrow the field to five finalists, who pitched live on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. As a surprise Comcast announced awards of $1,000 to the other four finalists who participated in the Comcast Pitch Fest – ABQ Brew, Blush & Whimsy, Solstar Space, and Zennovate.
