Startup Las Cruces Meetup Group: How to start, build, and scale up a business

You’re invited to hear the stories of two local entrepreneurs who have managed to take their startup ideas to the next level and launch successful companies.
Aaron Garcia, the CEO and co-founder of Silicon Mesa EHR, will share the process he and his brother went through to start their company. His team has developed an Electronic Health Records and Management solution that is customized to fit the individual needs of any practice so it is compliant with the HITECH Act that was passed on February 17, 2009, by Congress.
Our second speaker is Philip VanVeen, President of Eagle Security LLC and owner of Umbrella Mesh Network. Philip has been in the security industry for nearly three decades.
VanVeen is the president of the Las Cruces Host Lion’s club and serves on the advisory board for the Dona Ana Community College’s Electronics and Aerospace Program, as well as on the advisory board for the Dona Ana Southern New Mexico Diabetes Outreach. He is a candidate for the Las Cruces City Council District 2 seat.
