The New Employer’s Workshop will provide the new employer with training in computing withholding taxes for New Mexico employees, as well as discussions of the State Unemployment Tax Act (SUTA) with DWS, Worker Compensation Insurance with WCA, workplace safety with OSHA and Federal tax requirements for Federal Employer Identification Number, information returns (W-2 & 1099), payroll taxes, pre-payment reports and employer returns with our Volunteer CPA’s. There will also be a comprehensive discussion of Employee vs. Independent Contractor.
