The New Mexico Technology Council is both proud and sad to announce that Eric Renz-Whitmore has left his post with our team to embark on his next adventure.
ERW
For the last several years, Eric Renz Whitmore has served in a number of roles with the Technology Council, most recently as our Community Manager. During his tenure with the New Mexico Technology Council, Eric spearheaded many of the programs that are now cornerstones of Albuquerque, Santa Fe and Northern New Mexico’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. His leadership helped bring programs such as Startup Weekend, Albuquerque Tech Fiesta and 1 Million Cups to our region sparking a new era of lean start-up thinking and community collaboration. Eric is one of the central figures behind efforts to champion a ‘give before you get’ approach and sparking a renewed interest in civic tech. There are many aspiring technologists and entrepreneurs who are thankful for his helping hand, kind heart and enormous network of friends and resources.
“We will miss Eric as part of our small team but know that we will continue to work closely with him and that makes us happy.” said Lisa Adkins, Chairwoman of the Council. In a heartfelt statement, Eric shared, “I don’t think there’s been a more exciting time to be in Albuquerque and New Mexico. There is a palpable spirit of hope around our innovation scene right now and I’m proud to have been a part of the leading role the Tech Council played in getting us here. It’s a privilege to build on this work with the wider entrepreneurial community on behalf of the city of Albuquerque’s Economic Development Department.”
With warm regards and a big thanks, we wish you well Mr. Whitmore from all your friends and family at the New Mexico Technology Council.
