California Institute of Applied Technology operates two distinct campuses under unified leadership, with locations in California and New Mexico. Our New Mexico campus features specialized facilities designed for the unique needs of Albuquerque’s growing tech sector and partnerships with leading regional employers. Through our comprehensive IT programs, industry certification support, and career services, we equip students with the knowledge and certifications to begin or advance their careers.
What is your organization’s superpower?
The California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) is all about hands-on, career-focused learning. Its “superpower” lies in its innovative approach to IT education, offering unlimited certification exam attempts and cutting-edge programs in fields like cybersecurity, AI, cloud administration, and data analytics. CIAT stands out by meeting students where they are, whether they’re first-time college students, career changers, or military veterans.
Why do you choose to do business in New Mexico?
CIAT is pioneering a new educational approach, beyond the traditional four-year college experience. Through our comprehensive IT programs, industry certification support, and career services, we equip students with the knowledge and certifications to begin or advance their careers. Why did you join NMTC ?
California Institute of Applied Technology (CIAT) joined NMTC and became a part of the IT Technology landscape in New Mexico. Through NMTC we will build relationships and add value to our NMTC partners through education and training opportunities. We will leverage our relationship to market the CIAT brand.

One impactful goal for CIAT over the next 12 months could be to expand the CIAT presence in New Mexico as a preferred IT training partner.
