What is a hack·a·thon you ask?
/ˈHAKəˌthän / noun: a Hackathon (also known as a hack-day, hackfest or codefest) is an event in which computer programmers and others in the field of software development, like graphic designers, interface designers and project managers collaborate intensively on a software related project for a set amount of time.
It’s pretty much one of the most radical parties around, with tons of food, an awesome DJ, sweet prizes, and stella demos from hip coders like yourself. As a 2016 RSI hacker, you and your gamers will be given all the info needed to complete the coding project. Choose whatever programming language you want. When the last bit of code is compiled and demoed, the team selected for rockin’ contributions of a technical nature made to the computing community for the day will be granted RSI’s version of the “Turing Award” -an RSI Paid Internship!
